I’ve decided to create a page where I list where I’ve sat in each theatre I visit and what I thought of sitting there. I’d love to go back and populate this with where I’ve sat in the past but honestly don’t think I’ll get time to do that. I’ll try to get a picture each time too, as long as ushers don’t mind
The Apollo Victoria, London:
I sat in the stalls row D16. A great view, right up close to the action. My neck was a little stiff after the show due to angle it had been at. However a small price to pay for seeing Wicked up this close.
The Barbican Theatre, London:
I sat in Stalls F10. A great view, seats are a little uncomfortable, legroom was good though.
The Bridewell Theatre, London;
It’s a small unreserved seating theatre in London. Despite being a great space it has the most uncomfortable seats of any theatre I’ve been in. If you’re going to it, seriously, take a cushion with you.
The Churchill Theatre, Bromley:
I sat in the circle row BB seat 2. Very good view, the bar you can see across the bottom of the photo didn’t interfere with the view at all. Seat gave me a bit of a numb bum but a stretch during interval restored the blood flow. Friendly staff, and a nice sized theatre.
The Criterion Theatre London
This is a lovely stylish theatre underground by Piccadilly. I sat at the end of the stalls row H seat 2 and as you’ll see I sat at a slight angle. I got a good view of the stage there were literally a few seconds when the actors were out of view but it was literally seconds.
The Garrick Theatre London:
This is one of my favourite London theatre’s mainly due to seeing some great shows here, most notably my stag night was here seeing Jus’ Like That. I most recently visited to see Chicago and I sat in Stalls K 11. The leg room was excellent and the view probably one of best in the theatre.
The Theatre Royal Haymarket, London:
This is a glamourous and beautiful theatre. I most recently sat in the Upper Circle Row D seat 5, for One Man Two Guvnors. I went with friends and was too busy chatting to take a photo, sorry! This seat offered a reasonable view of the stage, the lower right side of stage was obscured from view which meant I could not see the actors that were there during some of the scenes. Most of the action happened in view though, so overall these seats offered good value for money.
The Lost Theatre, London:
Unreserved seating in this excellent little fringe theatre. A good view from any of the seats I’d think as it is semi circular and raked well.
The Old Vic Theatre, London:
This is a beautiful theatre, I sat in the Stalls row E, seat 26. Excellent legroom and view. Leave plenty of time for going to the toilet if you’re a lady as the queue for the ladies was huge when my wife and I were there!
The Palace Theatre, London:
I was seated in the Dress Circle seat F19 this is a row behind the “Premium Seats” and as you can see below the view was perfect. It’s a lovely theatre but AVOID the Balcony as it has worst viewing of any theatre I’ve ever been to.
The Phoenix Theatre, London:
I sat in Dress Circle A13. Being the front row of the Dress Circle, the legroom was limited, but a great view though.
The Rose Theatre, Kingston:
This is a spacious modern theatre. Good leg room and I had an excellent view from my seat in the “Pit” DD41.
The Savoy Theatre London:
I sat in Stalls Row L, Seat 4. Excellent view as you can see. Lovely theatre, best Front of House staff I’ve met in West End Theatre and a lovely period theatre (it was refurbished a few years ago).
The Shaftesbury Theatre, London:
I sat in the Stalls, P 5. A good view from here. Previously I’ve sat in a few rows in the centre of the Dress Circle which likewise gave a good view.
St. Martin’s Theatre, London:
I sat in the Upper Circle C12. The safety rail looks pretty ominous, but actually didn’t obstruct much of the play as the vast majority is upstage and so was seen perfectly well. Very cramped seats here though, I’m not very tall and even I felt it was a bit tight.
Upstairs at The Gatehouse, Highgate:
No picture for this one. This is a fringe theatre and has unreserved seating, comfy seats and a good view from them in this good sized fringe theatre.
The Vaudeville Theatre, London:
I sat in A18 of Dress Circle, a good view my wife was next to me on A19 which was restricted, but I didn’t mind her leaning over me or getting close on the few occasions she needed to!
The Wyndhams Theatre, London:
The sneaky ushers were too sharp at this theatre and so there is no picture of what it was like from my seat in Stalls Row H, Seat 21. However these were excellent seats offering a great view.

How about a picture from the seats of The Miller Centre Theatre Dom?
I keep meaning to, but forget to take my camera, will get one of it in the round for The Clearing and then another of it in Prosc setting soon after!
