The burgeoning Michigan Coffee scene in Northern Michigan has brought with it many small roasters who focus on sourcing and roasting their own beans rather than buying pre-roasted whole bean bags from wholesalers. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or simply enjoy your cup of joe, these local roasters create nuanced cups that can be found from Traverse City to the Upper Peninsula.
This is the place to go for those who are passionate about their craft and want to get to know what goes into making that perfect cup. Their roasting and brewing techniques are meticulous and their products speak for themselves. It’s a cozy little shop that will give you an intimate feeling of being welcomed.
The best part is that their coffees are available all year round online.
Partners Trevor and Miranda Graham bring their passion for quality coffee to a new space in downtown Royal Oak, where they serve a wide variety of standard third wave drinks as well as frozen lattes, smoothies, and even an Iced Coffee (iced espresso, brewed coffee, milk, ice, vanilla, and whipped cream). They offer beans by the bag and wholesale to other restaurants and cafes.
This is a small-batch roaster and they have a lot of fans! Their Lobster Butter Love is a favorite. They’re all about handmade, sustainability and treating people well – it’s definitely worth stopping in to sample their delicious roasts and pick up some of their products to take home.
